Get To Glasgow by Rail or Coach

Travel by rail

There are two train stations in Glasgow, Central Station and Queen Street Station. Most of the national lines come in to Central Station, Queen Street links Glasgow with Edinburgh and other East coast towns and cities. Central station is 15 minutes walk from the university but has a regular bus service. The bus will take you to Buchanan Bus Station  which is across the road from the University Campus and next door to the conference hotel. Queen Street station is 5 minutes walk from the Campus and the hotel.

For train travel information you can use National Rail Enquiries Service.
The Trainline.com is a useful site for buying tickets but is one of those annoying sites that insists you set up an account.

Travel by coach

Coaches from across the UK stop at Buchanan Bus station which across the road from the university. Impartial travel information for travel by bus, coach or train (or a combination or the three) can be found on the Traveline. Many of the coach trips to tourist destinations start from Buchanan Bus Station.
